World of Warcraft - Death Knight Leveling Guide
Posted by Heather-Jane Hunter in World Of Warcraft
Few tanks are feared more than the Death Knight. This class can be great for players that are looking for something new, or wish to start fresh on a new server, as the Death Knight begins that game a level 55. It is recommended that new players first take a chance to experience the game with a character that begins at level 1 before jumping into this class.
Death Knights have the ability to fill two roles very well; that is the role of a damage dealer and a tank. The two most popular choices for talent specialization are Unholy and Blood. As a Blood talent specialization, you gain the ability to do large amounts of damage, and siphon some back to yourself as health. This allows a Death Knight to continuously pump out damage with less worry about their health points.
Unholy Death Knights don’t have to heal very often because they usually have help with them in the form of zombies. This zombie can be cast on creatures once they are killed and are great companions to a Death Knight. If the talent specialization is done correctly, this zombie can be present nearly all of the time.
As a tank, Death Knights are the most deadly and difficult to take down in player versus player content. They are much different than all of the other tanks - particularly Warriors and Paladins. Much like the class of a Druid, Death Knights do not use shields. Instead, they prefer two handed weapons that they are able to instill unique buffs onto through the use of their runic power. They also have the ability to dual wield if they choose.
Death Knights feature an entirely new system of skill use that is completely separate from rage and mana bars. They use something unique called runic power, and this allows them to use the several forms of damage mitigation that is allowed to them.
Runes, at first, will feel very new and might be difficult to understand. In order to use any skill, you will need the associated runes to use it. The major runes are made up of unholy, blood and frost - all of which can be used in several different combinations to perform the skills you need to. Some of the runes, like frost and unholy, can be used to make death runes, which is considered to be both when it comes time for them to be used on skills. This may seem confusing at first, but experimenting with several combinations will provide you a personalized style of game play.
One simple tip for you is to always remain cautious as you play death knight. Remember that they are exclusively unique and might not appear in any other way to be same as any of the classes that you have played before.
Be attentive to the levelling guide plus the quests as well, especially if you are a beginner. This will, in a much simpler way, teach you the basics of the game, and will further explain how to fully utilize the efficiency and pleasure that you achieve from playing death knight.
