There are many different racial mounts in World of Warcraft for Alliance players. A mount is a specific type of pet that is permanent to the character that acquires it. Typically, for racial mounts, a character must reach a particular level and must obtain the specific riding skill that is required to use the pet. These particular pets are considered to be a status symbol that provides a high level of functionality to the individual that possesses it.
