« The Best Hunter Leveling Spec In World Of Warcraft WoW Gold Making Guide - How to Gather Gold Faster & Easier »
When you first get started with World of Warcraft, you will quickly learn that non player characters (NPCs) with large yellow question marks over their heads have quests for you to complete. These tasks will ask you to do a variety of different things and in return, you will get experience points and rewards that allow you to level faster. It seems fairly simple, but it is important to remember that just like there are many ways to level in WoW, there are also many different types of quest as well!
The most common type of quest by far is going to be the quests that ask you to kill something. You may finish this quest by simply killing the requisite number of things in question, or it might be related to things that these mobs drop. You may also be asked to kill a specific named mob, which is usually a little tougher. This type of quest meshes quite well with grinding.
Delivery quests, on the other hand, will ask you to travel from place to place. These quests are particularly common in the early levels, as they will take you from zone to zone. You are usually given a package or a message and then given directions. Sometimes it is within the same zone, but they can be on a different continent, and in the case of Outland, it will be on a different world.
Timed quests have a limitation on how long you can take to do it. There is usually plenty of time for the quest, but remember that if you take a timed quest, it should be your top priority. Timed quests are often also timed with delivery quests. Escort quests ask you to help a friendly NPC get from enemy territory to a safer place. You will often encounter an escort quest when you are in an area on another quest, so make sure that you finish that quest before you take the escort quest; an escort quest will usually take you away from the area that you are currently in. Escort quests are often easiest to do if you have some help, as it will almost certainly involve fighting multiple mobs at a time.
The holiday quests are quests that can only be taken during a certain point in the year. Winterveil and Hallows End are two examples of this, and they can give you a great deal of experience for only a small amount of effort. These quests are often “sillier” and may involve things like trick or treating, or emoting at a certain NPC.
Questing is a big part of WoW when you first start out, it will greatly benefit you to have a quest leveling guide.
Nubun’s WOW guide is not another useless grinding guide. It is a fast quest leveling guide that will save you loads of time and thus helps you quickly hit your level 80.
