As you first start out in WOW, you may feel like you are leveling fast already. Because it is not hard at all to get to level 10 with just a few hours of game time. It is not hard to consider that the rest of the game may be that easy. But the simply fact is that reaching 80 is going to be difficult. Remember that it is not necessary to take a profession when you begin to level. Leveling a profession can take just as long as leveling in general even if the trainers are present. There are a number of professions that will be beneficial to your character in general, but they take up a lot of time and your bonuses wont be awarded until you have used them for some time.

Of course skinning is not in the same category. Skinning is a type of gathering profession which will not effect your leveling time, all the materials come straight off the monsters you are fighting. Of course with leatherworking these skins can make some great armor, but to keep things moving you should just sell the skins.

Leveling quickly requires gold and this is a good way to get it. Having sufficient gold will keep you on top of your training and it will purchase you superior gear. Make certain that anything you pick up will have a good resale value. Invest in a few large bags. Add on the Auctioneer to make sure that your exchanges are straight forward and uncomplicated. Collect your money from your mailbox regularly.

Leaving a level before you are completely finished can hold you back when trying to level. Many people have differing opinions about this, but generally by finishing one zone you will be better prepared to take on the next one. Each level is more difficult than the one before and will take more persistence and skill to emerge victorious.

By finishing each of the different zones completely, you are going to be able to be prepared for the next one. Being prepared for the next zone is going to be important the further into the game you go, and while killing mobs that are better equipped than you are gives you more experience points, it can also slow things down to a crawl.

You need to consider if you want people to help you out or not as well. You may be able to complete some quests faster in groups but you will end up getting less exp due to being grouped. You can get decent exp off dungeons as well but you will need a group for this. If your friends are higher level than you are, they can run you through dungeons if you can’t handle them.
