Black Tabby farming is just one example of what you would need an alt character for on World of Warcraft, a good class for this activity is a level 21 Hunter because of its tracking skills. But leveling another character can be quite annoying especially if you already have your main character to focus on.

Thanks to the technique I got from Jonathan Kenins of Secret Warcraft, I learned by listening to his podcast that I can make leveling way easier for me by using twinked out white gear. White because it’s not soulbound unlike greens, purples, and blue items that are bind-on-pickup or bind-on-equip. That way, you can make use of them after you’re done on your alt character, you can lend them to your friends or guild mates, or even use them to level a new character.

The way you can go about doing this is to buy white items in the auction house, and use some fairly powerful enchants on them, you dont have to use the best enchants (even if you have the money for it) because it simply is not worth it. All you need to do is to make some white leveling gear sets for your alts, or future alts that you want to create.

A good example is Enchant Boots: Minor Speed enchat. Use this on a pair of level 5 white boots. This enchant will boost your character’s speed by up to 8% making questing and travelling a lot faster than if you’re just wearing normal boots. The bonus is that you can keep wearing these boots until you can get a mount!

Also look into cloth bracers with 9 armor rating called Calico Bracers. Enchant these with Enchant Bracer: Greater Intellect and you’ll have an armor that has +7 INT which would be quite useful to any low level character that used intellect. Compare these enchanted bracers with a green item called Greenweave Bracers of Intellect which is a level 16 item that’s Bind On Equip and has 15 armor rating and only +3 INT.

Having a good leveling gear will cut your leveling time in half, with these enchanted white items, youll be able to do your quests without a problem. Imagine how convenient that will be for you! Another thing, because these are not soulbound, you can help your friends who are just starting out by lending your twinked gear to them, thats sure to be help them out a lot with getting started on World of Warcraft.
