« How To Create Gold In World of Warcraft Ultimate WOW Guide - Power Leveling Secrets Revealed »
It’s a common mistake for people, especially new ones to assume that World of Warcraft economy works like that of the real world. It doesn’t, (thank god!) Imagine losing your epic mount to one of the guards on there, or your gold to the bankers!
One of the most common mistakes that people do is assume that real world economy and WoW economy is the same, so they try to treat the Auction House, like they would if they wanted to sell something in real life.
This happens because most people assume that if their prices are lower, it means that their item will automatically get more bids or sell faster. It doesn’t work that way! There are only a couple of important factors in making a good Auction House killing instead of “Killing” the Auction house:
* The item
* The time of day
* The server you are on
The least important factor (but still vital) is the amount you’re selling it for You have to hit just the right amount in order to sell it. Lowering your price too much makes you lose too much money and putting it way too high lowers your possibility of selling it. (Which also makes you lose money if your item doesn’t sell.)
Nothing is more disgruntling to an Auction House person such as myself than to see certain items selling for 5 times lower than the amount it would normally and reasonably sell for. There have been many situations where I have wanted to sell my item in the Auction House, only to find out that first, someone beat me to it, and second, they’re totally ripping themselves off because of their incredibly low prices!
What I used to do when this happened was to sell my items for a bit lower than my usual price, but I realized I’m ripping myself off too. So what I do now is to buy out their items at the low price they are selling for and then put it up in my normal price range, and guess what? They sell!
So you see, the price of the item doesn’t really change anything, it will still sell, as long as people find your prices reasonable. That being said, why bother selling for low when they would still buy at the normal to high price?
So wisen up, don’t sell yourself short. Take advantage of the market, and reap the gold rewards!
